How to use this tea timer

Heat water first, then pour over tea and start the timer immediately. For green/white tea, let freshly boiled water cool briefly so it’s not aggressively boiling‑hot — it helps avoid bitterness. Use Re‑steep if you’re doing a second infusion.

Quick tip

If your tea tastes bitter, shorten the time by 30–60 seconds or use slightly cooler water (see our temperature guide).
